Guidelines for Excavation Work Done Near Our Underground Infrastructures

University of Nebraska Medical Center 42nd and Emile, Omaha, NE 68198 402-559-4000 Contact Us.

Seven major infrastructure owners (Bell, CSEM, Gazifère, Énergir, Hydro-Québec, Telus, and Vidéotron) have developed joint directives when working near their underground infrastructures. This is a first in Quebec, possibly even in Canada!
This new document, which will be implemented now, will simplify the work of entrepreneurs digging near these infrastructures. It describes all the guidelines, technical specifications, and special requirements to be observed during the planning of the work, before the work and during the excavation work.
